Changwon has seen the iron culture blossom from prehistoric age, and grown to become the bastion of nation's machinery industry thanks to the government decision of 1980 to foster heavy and chemical industry.

However, Changwon is now also faced with the imminent task of creating the renewed competitiveness through the industrial restructuring. In addition to the task, the rapidly changing business environment both at home and abroad as the 21st century began, is demanding much more roles of the CCI.

As the only comprehensive economic organization in the area, Changwon CCI has been extending efforts to promote the local development, to protect the interests of local businesses, as well as to resolve the difficulties of individual companies. Also, to meet the expectation of member businesses, we will search for new projects that further enhance our activities.
